Teach topics including the History of Video Games and Digital Citizenship in addition to computer science foundations.

GameSalad has inspired my students to use their creativity. Each day, I see my students jump right into their games and strive to create something new and different. They are excited when their hard work pays off and they’ve created a workable, fun game to show their friends.

Engaging Content

Students engage in project-based learning, where they build out and customize a variety of different games.

Game Design

Students feel accomplishment and can create completely original works using GameSalad’s professional game development platform.

Lesson plans guide teachers to help their students design an original capstone game, a pinnacle of study in GameSalad.

Students can add their own art and sounds, publish to the web to share with family and friends, and play their creations on their own mobile devices.

GameSalad for Education also hosts a yearly game contest for students to submit their original projects, with various prizes.

GameSalad’s low barrier of entry and powerful toolset is great for education. Students in my classes are learning the fundamentals of game design while actually designing their first game at the same time. Some have already taken on their own side-projects!
